Man's body found at Trimpley Reservoir

A man's body has been found at a reservoir near Bewdley.

The body was located at Trimpley Reservoir on Sunday morning.

West Mercia Police say his death is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesman for the force said: "A man’s body has been found in Trimpley Resorvoir, near Kidderminster.

"The body was located at just before 10.45am on Sunday, September 13, and recovered from the water. A short while later he was pronounced dead.

"Formal identification has not yet taken place but officers are not treating his death as suspicious."

A West Midlands Ambulance spokesman added: "We were called at 10.45am on Sunday to reports of a patient in the water at Trimpley Reservoir. One ambulance, two paramedic officers and our Hazardous Area Response Team were sent to the scene.

"On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, who was still in the water. Once rescued from the water it sadly became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene."
