Gemma Lancaster, 33, from Great Wyrley, has decided to jump head first into her latest venture, the Extreme Legacy Gym, which opened on Landywood Enterprise Park at the weekend.

The body builder, who took first prize in the MABBA Miss England competiton held last weekend, has said she will take a 'very hands on' approach to running the gym and wants to help as many people as possible get into shape.

She said: "I have recently moved back to Great Wyrley after living in Essex for a number of years, I wanted to be closer to my friends and family.

"Now, I have this new business and I am ready to be very hands on, I won't just be sat in an office, I will be giving classes, helping people improve their physique and offering advice.

"This gym does have great facilities for body builders but it isn't a gym strictly for body builders, we are open for anyone who wants to get in shape."

Gemma, who has more than 1,000 followers on her Instagram account 'the_she_beast' came second in the MABBA Miss Universe competition last year, but will travel to Budapest next month to try and take first prize.

She said: "Competing is something I am very proud of and I have been quite successful in recent years, but I will keep going and trying to improve.

"My aim for Extreme Legacy is to get a team together that can compete at body building competitions and do themselves, our gym and the area proud."
