Quad biker injured after crash with car in Wednesbury

A quad biker suffered potentially serious injuries in a collision with a car in Wednesbury.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of the crash between the quad bike and a car at the junction of Dudley Street and Holyhead Road, near to Mecca Bingo.

The male biker was treated at the scene by paramedics – and taken to Sandwell Hospital with potentially serious injuries.

The car driver is believed to have been unhurt in the smash.

The collision took place shortly before 4pm on January 1.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 3.58pm on New Year’s Day to report of a road traffic collision involving a quad bike and a car at the junction of Dudley Street and Holyhead Road.

"We sent one ambulance and a paramedic officer to the scene.

"On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, from the quad bike. He was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to Sandwell Hospital for further assessment.”
