Police gave chase to this Audi A3

The people in the Audi A3 - a man and a woman − are believed to have been involved in a ram raid at a mobile phone shop around 3.30am on Saturday morning.

Police were called to the store after a van was driven into the front of the property on Warwick Road, Acocks Green in Birmingham before it was driven off and abandoned a short while later on the Stratford Road.

The occupant was seen getting into the Audi which drove off towards the city centre.

Officers began their pursuit and a police helicopter brought the car, which was being driven recklessly and with no lights, to a stop on Hagley Road West using a stinger.

The van was later found to be stolen and the Audi was on false plates.

The man, aged 41, and 31-year-old woman from Rubery have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and will be questioned later today.
