Walsall Manor Hospital recruiting 40 nurses from the Philippines

Walsall Manor Hospital is to recruit 40 nurses from the Philippines to help tackle its staff shortage.

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, which runs the Manor, has sent senior members of staff out to the country today to boost the Trust's frontline workforce.

It has confirmed it will be looking to find 40 members of staff.

Zena Young, the deputy director of nursing at the Trust, said: "We already have a large Filipino community here at the Trust; many of our Filipino nurses have worked here at Walsall Healthcare for over ten years."
