Woman taken to hospital after Rowley Regis smash

A woman was taken to hospital after a three-car crash in Rowley Regis.

The incident happened just after 9am this morning on Dudley Road at the junction of St James Avenue.

The woman, in her 20s, suffered leg and back pain after a car smashed into her vehicle on the roadside.

West Midlands Ambulance spokesperson, Jamie Arrowsmith, said: "The woman was immobilised and taken to Russells Hall Hospital as a precaution.

"One ambulance attended after we were alerted that a car had collided with another car that was stationary."

Two men from the other vehicle were also checked over.

Traffic was backed up near the scene while shattered glass from the front headlights was visible on the road.
