Jon Whitehouse, 44, from Castlecroft, died after a four vehicle collision on Bridgnorth Road outside the Gardenlands Garden Centre, near Seisdon.

Mr Whitehouse, who as well as installing solar panels for a living, worked voluntarily as a first responder for West Midlands Ambulance Service, was popular in his local community.

His friend Dave Hill told the Express & Star: "Last year or two we've really hit it off. He came in here and fitted doors for me and CCTV. He was really handy.

"He was a perfectionist. He said that his dad taught him that if a job's worth doing, it has to be done well.

"He would do anything for you. He only had the bike quite recently I think. He was into sailing, he liked doing that. And he was a real handyman, he could take a car or a bike apart and put it back together again.

"I'm gutted. I'm really going to miss him."
