Motorcyclist dies following crash in Hednesford

A motorcyclist involved in a crash with a car in Hednesford has died from his injuries in hospital.

The smash happened around 3.40pm on Tuesday at the junction of Rugeley Road and Station Road.

The crash involved a Harley Davison motorbike and a Vauxhall Corsa.

A 54-year-old man riding the bike was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital but passed away on Wednesday morning.

The road was closed for more than four hours after the crash until 7.50pm while a collision investigation team examined the scene.

Staffordshire Police has appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch via 101.
