Officers investigating the crash continue to appeal to witnesses to come forward.

Sergeant Paul Hughes, from the West Midlands Police collision investigation unit, said: "We would like to thank the public for their response to our earlier appeals.

"I would also like to urge witnesses, who have not spoken to the police yet, to contact me or one of my team.

"The family of Jamie are being supported by specially trained officers and our thoughts are with them at this sad time."

The driver of a Mercedes 180 stopped at the scene and continues to assist police with their enquiries.
