Teenager 'stabbed' during Walsall attack

A teenager has reportedly been stabbed after an attack on a Walsall street by a group of men.

Detectives have launched an investigation following the assault on Ford Street, Pleck, at around 8pm following reports that an 18-year-old had been stabbed.

The victim was taken to hospital and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

It is believed that the teenager was approached by a group of men on Wednesbury Road and then was followed to Ford Street where the assault is believed to have taken place.

Detectives continue to trawl CCTV for any clues and are urging witnesses to come forward.

Sgt Adam Keen, said: "We are in the early stages of our investigation and I am urging anyone who was in the area last night and witnessed this to come forward.

"Our investigations into the circumstances around the attack continue and at this stage we believe the teenager was approached by approximately four men and then followed. If anyone saw anything suspicious then please contact me or one of my team."
