Car gutted by 10-foot flames in Brownhills 'arson attack'

A car was left burnt out after a suspected arson attack in Brownhills in the early hours of this morning.

The flames to the silver Vauxhall Corsa were reported at 1.36am on Furst Street.

Pictures provided by the fire service showed the vehicle engulfed in 10-foot flames.

A crew from Aldridge station attended to tackle the blaze and left the scene around an hour later.

The car was left visibly charred by the fire.

A West Midlands Fire Service spokeswoman said: "We responded to a call at 1.36am in Furst Street. A crew from Aldridge went. It was arson.

"They came away at 2.29am."
