Motorcyclist escapes serious injury in Walsall crash

A motorcyclist has been involved in a crash with a car in Walsall, but has avoided serious injuries.

Police and ambulance crews descended on the scene in Pelsall on the Walsall Road at the junction with Allens Lane around 2.15pm following reports of a crash.

The motorcyclist appears to have escaped serious harm suffering superficial leg injuries.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called at 2.13pm by West Midlands Police to the junction of Allens Lane and Walsall Road.

"It was reported that there was a collision between a motorbike and a car. We had an ambulance and community paramedic in a rapid response vehicle at the scene.

"The motorcyclist did not appear to be in a serious condition. The patient had superficial leg injuries but was up and walking."
