Two boys arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after Sedgley stabbing

Two boys have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a teenager was stabbed  in Sedgley.

Emergency services were called to Sedgley high street at around 6pm on Sunday night.

Officers found the the 18-year-old with a stab wound to the stomach.

The two boys aged 14 and 15 have been arrested.

The victim was airlifted to hospital where his condition was described as critical but stable - but he is now said to be making a good recovery.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack and has not yet come forward to get in touch as soon as possible.

It was the second stabbing in the borough inside 24 hours. A man was injured after an assault in Lower Gornal on Saturday.
