Officers were called to the Red Admiral, in Great Barr, a total of 35 times since 2007.

The pub, in Gorse Farm Road, was recently sold for around half a million pounds after closing without warning.

It has been boarded up amid rumours it could be turned into a day nursery.

Figures released under the Freedom of Information Act revealed officers had visited the pub on a handful of occasions during each of the last eight years.

The busiest time for police activity was during 2009-10 when officers were called on eight times separate occasions. Police went three times during 2014-15.

Councillor Joyce Underhill, who represents the Newton ward on Sandwell Council, said custom had declined at the pub in recent years.
