Man taken to hospital after two-car smash on Kingswinford High Street

A man was taken to hospital last night after a smash in Kingswinford which saw two cars left with major damage.

The incident happened in High Street just before 10pm.

West Midlands Fire Service said that one man was taken to Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley to be checked over.

The front of a silver BMW was left mangled with debris strewn across the road, while a blue Peugeot had damage along the passengers side with smashed rear lights and deflated tyres.

A West Midlands Fire Service spokesperson said: "No one was trapped in the vehicles. One man was taken to hospital for precautionary checks to his head and neck.

"The vehicles were made safe and crews from Brierley Hill Fire Station left shortly after 10pm."
