Body found in hunt for missing Wolverhampton teenager

Police searching for a missing 18-year-old woman from Wolverhampton have found a body.

Officers from West Midlands Police were searching in Bridgnorth for the woman.

A body was found at around 10.15am yesterday near to High Rock, in Bridgnorth.

Although formal identification is yet to take place, it is believed to be the missing teenager.

Her family have been informed and are being supported.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

Terri-Anne Powell, of West Mercia Police, said: "As part of the search a body was found. Our thoughts are with her and her family at this difficult time."
