Motorcyclist who died after Cannock woodland crash is named as Daniel Harper

A motorcyclist from Bilston has died after crashing into a tree in a Cannock nature reserve.

Daniel Harper, aged 19, was riding a motor scooter at around 11.15am on Sunday morning within the Mill Green Nature Reserve area, off Lichfield Road.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, via air ambulance and in a critical condition.

Staffordshire Police confirmed Daniel died on Monday.

A statement from Daniel's family, including his mother, father, brother, sister and fiance, has asked for anyone with information to come forward.

It reads: "Will people that have any information please let the police know about this incident.

"We would like to point out that our son Daniel loved life, lived life to the full, he would help anybody and everybody and will be missed by all that knew him, he will be in our hears forever, we would be grateful if you would respect our privacy in the days to come."

If anyone has any information about this incident, they are asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101 and quote reference 332 of August 7.
