The pair crashed into the wall of the Natwest bank on Wednesfield High Street at around 10am on Wednesday.

Police were called to the scene after reports that the car had in fact hit an electrical box, however, upon arrival it was clear they had hit the wall.

West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that one ambulance attended the scene and took the couple to New Cross Hospital so that further checks could be carried out.

Fire crews were also called to attend the scene by the ambulance service at 9.53am. They confirmed that the car had left the road, mounted the pavement and collided with a 'cladding wall'.

The wall was checked over by the fire service however, there did not appear to be any significant internal damage.
