Kingswinford crash: Wall and tree hit by car in smash

Two people were taken to hospital after a crash in Kingswinford which saw a wall part-destroyed and a tree knocked over.

The crash, which occurred just after midnight today in Rangeways Road, left the silver Vauxhall Corsa on its side.

Two women who were in the car, which finished up on the drive of a bungalow in the street, were taken to hospital.

A recovery truck moved the vehicle just after 10am this morning.

Retired labourer Harry Hartland, 80, had part of his wall knocked down in the collision.

He said: "I heard a crash and a bang and saw the car out there.

"I'm just grateful nobody died as it could so easy have gone the other way and been much worse.

"The car was totally wrecked."

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "We were called at midnight by the ambulance service.

"Two occupants of the car were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

"No one has been arrested."
