Pedestrian killed in Staffordshire lorry crash

A pedestrian has has died after a collision with a lorry in Staffordshire.

The air ambulance was called to the A38 between Weeford and Swinfin just before 11am today.

Police and members of the public were carrying out CPR when they arrived.

Ambulance service spokesman Claire Brown said: "Paramedics and the doctor took over resuscitation efforts. Sadly, after more than 30 minutes of advanced life support nothing more could be done to save the man's life and he was confirmed dead on scene."
