Biker seriously injured in Staffordshire car crash

A motorcyclist was seriously injured today in a collision with a car, leaving him trapped under the vehicle.

Two air ambulances and three land ambulances were called to Birmingham Road, Shenstone at 11am.

Paramedics tweeted this image of the bike:

The biker, in his 50s, was trapped under the car and was freed by emergency services. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious leg and wrist injuries.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman added: “The driver of the car involved was treated for chest pain and taken to Good Hope Hospital for further treatment and assessment.”
