Pictured: Man whose body was recovered from Walsall Arboretum lake

A man whose body was recovered from the lake at Walsall Arboretum was named by police today.

Christopher Mills, 26, was found dead on Wednesday after police were called the previous evening.

Mr Mills was from Walsall.

Emergency services were called to the park at around 7.30pm after a passer-by spotted a person in difficulty.

Two police officers attempted to rescue the man but he went under the water. Search teams used three boats and torches to try to find the man.

The man's death is currently being treated as unexplained.

Around 30 floral tributes have been left at the scene.
