Pedestrian hit by car in Kidderminster

A man suffered leg injuries when he was hit by a car on a Kidderminster road today.

Police and paramedics were called to New Road at around 11.20am.

The man, aged in his 60s, was conscious and breathing but had severe pain in his leg.

A rapid response vehicle was dispatched to the road by West Midlands Ambulance Service to assess and treat the wounded man.

West Mercia Police spokesman Lynne Masters said: "We received the call at around 11.22am.

"The man, approximately aged 60, was struck by a car."
