An out-of-control bonfire had to be extinguished by firefighters.
A crew from Fallings Park were called to the fire which had been lit at the back of a property on Compton Road, Chapel Ash, Wolverhampton at around 6.15pm.
The bonfire, which was made out of wood cuts and bags of household rubbish, took the crew 45 minutes to put out.
Watch Commander Simon Hardiman of Fallings Park Fire Station said: “It seems the fire quickly spread throughout the area to the rear of the property to the point where residents became concerned they were no longer in control.
“This meant putting out the fire was a long, drawn out process for the crew.”
No one was injured in the incident.
