A car hit the central reservation of a busy dual carriageway.
The teenage driver Tia Josephine, aged 18, was driving along the Birmingham New Road in Lanesfield, Wolverhampton, when her Vauxhall Corsa was in collision with a Citroen van slowing down at traffic lights.
The car hit the barriers of a pedestrian crossing near the junction with Ward Grove.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene but there were no serious injuries.
Miss Josephine, who was on her way home to Dudley at the time of the accident, said: “I feel annoyed that this has happened but also fortunate to still be here.”
