Three police officers were injured and seven people arrested during major disorder in Birmingham.
Around 20 people were involved in the fracas outside the Gatecrasher nightclub shortly before 4am yesterday, which saw officers on routine patrol hit with stones and bottles.
Specialist public order officers were brought in and Broad Street was closed while the disorder was broken up.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “A group of lads were aggressive to police after leaving a venue and began throwing stones and bottles.
“Three officers suffered minor injuries, but we don’t believe any members of the public were seriously hurt.
“There were seven arrests in total.”
