Lorries damaged in Brownhills blaze

Fire ripped through a vehicle-spraying company in Brownhills, damaging two lorries.

The blaze at Wilcox Refinishers on Brownhills Business Park in Lindon Road, was caused by an electrical fault in a spray booth, measuring 65ft by 13ft, and containers of paint thinner also caught alight.

Crews from Aldridge, Bloxwich, Sutton Coldfield and Walsall all attended the fire yesterday at 6.55pm.

The firm sprays buses, coaches and trucks.

It was still open for business today.
