The Bank Holiday Extravaganza Barn Dance at St Dominic's School, in Brewood, takes place on Sunday, May 5, from 5pm.

Residents are encouraged to don their cowboy hats, checked shirts and denim for the event, which will help raise funds for the school.

Neelam Malik, admissions and marketing secretary of St Dominic’s, said: “The barn dance is organised by the Friends of St Dominic’s, will be held in our Peakman Hall, and dressing up is a must.

“There will be live entertainment, a line dance caller, bucking bronco, bar, competitions and raffles.

“There’s a range of foods, hog roast, vegan barbecue, ices, sweets and other tasty treats - something to suit everyone.

“The event is raising funds for the school and we are hoping to get as many people along as possible for what should be a great night.”

Tickets cost £15 for adults, £7.50 for under-16s and under-fives go free. To book, call St Dominic's School reception on 01902 850248.
