Birmingham man charged with possessing and sharing extremist material online

A 29-year-old man has been charged with possessing and sharing extremist material online.

Musa Muhammad, of Dunsink Road, in the Witton area of Birmingham, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on Thursday.

He is charged with three counts of sharing extremist material online under Section 2 of the Terrorism Act (2006).

Muhammad was charged by detectives from Counter Terrorism Policing West Midlands CTU on Wednesday.

He had been arrested on June 17 and taken to a police station in the West Midlands.
