Residents found the meat, believed to be chicken, on Chapel Lane off Smestow Road in Smestow near the Smestow water mill.

A social media post on Wombourne Online Facebook page said: "Hazardous fly-tipping. Someone has dumped raw meat.

"It’s been left on a track in between Heath Mill trading estate and Wombourne Windows, leading towards Smestow Water Mill. We’re not sure if it’s been reported but please avoid the area"

A resident commented on the post and said: "Needs moving as soon as in this heat and must find and jail the tippers.

"Someone must have seen something"
