Three people charged over raid on Wickes shop in Cannock

Three people will appear before magistrates next month after being charged in relation to a raid at Wickes.

The three are alleged to have raided the shop on Hollies Park Road, Cannock, on April 12.

Bark chippings and weed control sheets were taken from the shop during the raid.

Three people were arrested that night following a short pursuit after Staffordshire Police were called.

Emma Bidmead, aged 33, of Holden Crescent, Walsall, is charged with one count of theft from a shop.

Leighton Allen, aged 40, of Holden Crescent, Walsall, is charged with theft from a shop; failure to stop a vehicle when required, driving a vehicle dangerously, driving without third party insurance, driving a vehicle when alcohol level above limit and driving whilst disqualified.

Peter Ellis, aged 34, of Green Rock Lane, Walsall, is charged with theft from a shop, failure to stop a vehicle when required, driving a vehicle dangerously, driving without third party insurance, driving a vehicle without a licence and driving a vehicle on a road without a valid test certificate.

He is also charged with three counts of theft from a shop relating to offences committed in November 2016 and April 2017.

All three will appear at Cannock Magistrates Court on May 17.
