Aaron Barley, 23, of no fixed address, will also be appearing in court accused of the attempted murder of Peter Wilkinson.

Tracey, aged 50, and her son Pierce, a 13-year-old Redhill School pupil, died at their home in Greyhound Lane, Norton, yesterday morning.

They were found with stab injuries.

Peter Wilkinson, 47, remains in a stable condition in hospital today.

Barley will be brought before Birmingham Magistrates' Court tomorrow

A post mortem examination and formal identification will take place on Monday.

Devastated neighbours have paid tribute to the flowers and cards left outside their home.

Several of the secondary school's pupils have also visited the scene where a police tent and cordon remained in place today.

Teachers at Pierce's school have also spoken of their sadness of his death. They spoke of a 'loyal, caring' pupil who was in year eight at the academy in Junction Road.

Students at the Junction Road school have been offered professional counselling and parents are being provided with guidance on supporting their children in the aftermath of the attack.

Stourbridge MP Margot James has spoken of her sadness and said her prayers are with the family.

Meanwhile Mike Wood, a former Stourbridge councillor and now MP for Dudley South, added: "Awful news from Norton. Praying for Peter Wilkinson and thoughts with everyone who knew and cared for the family at this difficult time."
