It's the second time Corpus Christi Primary School in Ashmore Park has been targeted in three months. The school was broken into during the early hours of Thursday morning.

Several computer tablets were stolen during the 1.25am raid and damage caused internally to the school. Laptops and tablets were stolen in November from the school.

Other schools have been targeted in the area recently, including Oakmeadow Primary, Willenhall E-Act Academy, Woodlands Academy and Coppice Performing Arts Academy.

Councillor Phil Bateman, who represents Wednesfield North, said: "It really is shocking. Clearly there are still people about that are targeting schools sadly here in Wednesfield.

"I urge all residents to keep a watchful eye and to report anything suspicious to the police."
