It was the second raid inside a month at the Co-op in Kinver high street.

The shop was targeted at around 5.20am today.

Police believe two men entered the store wearing balaclavas through the rear door.

The door had been opened by staff on duty who were waiting for deliveries.

Once inside, the two offenders then threatened store staff, said investigating officers.

They stole cigarettes and an unknown quantity of cash, before making off in a car.

Staffordshire Police said the staff, although very shocked, were fortunately otherwise unhurt.

The men are described as wearing black long sleeved jumpers, black gloves, black trousers and black boots.

Each of the two men wore a balaclavas leaving their eyes visible

They wore socks over their boots, and used a large white builders type bag, as used for sand deliveries, to remove the cigarettes and money.

Detectives are trawling CCTV as they bid to catch the men.

It comes just three weeks after three men armed with a knife and a baseball bat robbed the same supermarket.

Cash and cigarettes were also taken on that occasion.

Anyone who can help is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 61 of 3 January.
