West Bromwich cannabis factory raided worth £284,000

A landlord uncovered a stash of cannabis worth more than £280,000 in a flat in West Bromwich.

A total of 569 plants were found in two rooms in the property in Great Bridge Street on Tuesday.

West Midlands Police's Cannabis Disposal Team said the flat 'had to be made electrically safe and then was forensically examined'.

Officers said the haul was worth at least £284,000.

No-one had last night been arrested in connection with the cannabis cultivation.
