Camran Green: Man charged with murdering Wednesbury teenager

A man has been charged with murdering Wednesbury 17-year-old Camran Green, who was stabbed to death on Monday.

Steven Sharpe, from Cheltenham - where Camran was killed, was due to appear in court this morning accused of murder and assaulting three detention officers while in custody.

Two women, aged 31 and 44, have both been bailed after being arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender,

Camran died at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on Monday, hours after he was stabbed in the stomach in Cheltenham, 50 miles from his Wednesbury home.

After Camran's death, his mother Emma Green paid tribute to her son who she said would 'do anything for anybody'.

Ms Green said: "Everybody loved him. He could get along with everybody and he had lots of friends.

"Camran was a lovely guy. He got along with anybody and was loved by loads.

"He would do anything for anybody so for something like this to happen."
