Brierley Hill man in court charged with killing his mother

A man has appeared in court charged with killing his mother who died in hospital nearly a month after he allegedly pushed her to the floor on Christmas Eve.

Mark Jennens, aged 39, of Sorrel Walk, Brierley Hill, is facing one count of manslaughter and appeared before magistrates in Walsall on Thursday.

His mother, Hazel Jennens, died in hospital on January 20 after the alleged push on December 24 last year.

Jennens was bailed to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on October 27 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
