Stourbridge man denies death by dangerous driving

A 26-year-old has denied he caused the death of a pensioner by dangerous driving.

Ryan Freeth of Marshall Crescent, Wordsley, Stourbridge appeared before Wolverhampton Crown Court yesterday to enter his not guilty plea.

He stands charged with causing the death by dangerous driving of Leslie Marks on November 29, 2015.

Sixty-six-year-old Mr Marks, also from Wordsley, was crossing Amblecote High Street when he was struck and killed.

The case will now go before a jury in a trial starting on March 20, 2017.

In the meantime Freeth remains on unconditional bail.
