Following a trial in Leicester, Julie Beards was found guilty of manslaughter after Susan Whiting was found dead at Beards' bungalow in Heather Close, Bloxwich, last August.

The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed they want the 36-year-old retried on the rape allegation and has now called for the case to be heard in the Black Country for the sake of the Ms Whiting's family.

Steven Beards, 34, formally of Rowland Avenue, was jailed for 33 years after being found guilty of murder and rape.
