The defendant from Victoria Road, Tipton further admitted having bullets to fit the two guns without an ammunition certificate and possession of a small amount of heroin for personal use.

He claimed to have been forced to look after the weapons by a drug dealer to whom he owed money.

Ahmed, who has a previous conviction for possession of a firearm, was remanded in custody until July 15 to allow further investigation.
