They drove at the victim as they tried to escape, hitting him and leaving him with the head injury and cuts and bruises.

He has been left with memory loss, and police today released these CCTV images of the suspects in a bid to trace them.

The suspects drove off towards the Black Country Route.

The Ford Focus displayed the registration BT02 RYB and was believed to be on false plates.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "After stealing the pressure washer, the two men deliberately drove at the gate and the employee causing very serious injuries.

"The injured man had to be hospitalised for some days following the attack and is now suffering memory loss as a result of the assault.

"We need help in identifying these two men and anyone who recognises them or has information should call police on 101.

"The two men are described as white and in their late 20s. The driver had thick wavy brown hair and stubble and the passenger had scruffy hair, possibly blond."
