The teenager was sexually assaulted on April 18 and police have now released this e-fit image in a bid to find the man responsible.

The girl was walking along Sutton Road in Aldridge towards the Beacon Road junction traffic lights at around 10.30pm on Monday, April 18 when she was approached by a man in a silver car.

He stopped to ask her for directions, offered her a cigarette and she got into the car.

The tall dark-haired man then drove her to a flat - which officers believe is in the Birmingham area - and sexually assaulted her.

The next day he dropped her off outside the shops on Little Aston Road.

Since the attack, the 16-year-old girl has been supported by specialist officers.

The man responsible for the assault is thought to be aged 23 and is described as white, tall and of large build, with dark hair and stubble.

It is believed he has a number of tattoos: a moustache on his right index finger, a rose on his right hand and two tribal patterns - one on his right arm and one on his right leg.

He was wearing blue Nike Air Max 110 trainers and a blue Adidas tracksuit when the assault took place.

Anyone with information is urged to call DC Leon Malpass at Walsall police station on 101 or email contactus@west-midlands.pnn.police.uk
