Burglars steal dog from South Staffordshire home during raid

A dog was stolen from its owners' home during a burglary in South Staffordshire.

During the burglary, which took place at around 10.40pm on Monday at a house in Iverley, saw two unknown offenders make their way into an outbuilding, before stealing two drums of red diesel and attempting to take two West Highland White terriers.

One dog slipped the lead and ran away but the offenders managed to take the other with them.

The dog is female and was wearing a red collar.

The owners are keen for the dog to be returned and are offering a reward.

The offenders were both wearing wellington boots and hoodies and one appeared to be taller than the other.

They are believed to have made off in a vehicle parked nearby, possibly Sugar Loaf Lane near to Beechtree Lane.

Anyone with any information is asked to ring Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident 791 of 11 April.
