WANTED: Police hunt suspect after couple robbed at gunpoint in Dudley

Police are searching for this man after a teenage couple were robbed at gunpoint on a Dudley towpath.

CCTV of the suspect has been released after the couple, both aged 19, were threatened at gunpoint by a gang of four men while standing next to Dudley Canal.

The pair were stood under Primrose Bridge near Cradley Road, Netherton, at around 8pm on November 3 when four Asian males approached them.

The group threatened the Warley man with what has been described as a hand gun, before stealing his bank card and motorbike keys.

Two of the robbers stood guard over the couple while the other two left only to return on the man's motorbike.

When they returned they turned on the woman from Netherton and took her bank card, bus pass and phone.

The suspects made off on the victim's motorbike and made withdrawals at multiple cash machines using the stolen bank cards.

Investigating Officer Detective Constable Ross Evans said: "This was a traumatic incident; the couple have been left badly shaken by their ordeal, and are still receiving support from officers.

"We have been working tirelessly on the case and have recovered and returned the victims bike, but we need the public's help to bring those responsible to justice. If you can help, I urge you to contact police."
