Goalposts were ripped from the ground at Bilbrook Juniors Football Club in Pendeford, Wolverhampton, on Sunday night - with yobs causing an estimated £2,000 of damage.

And on Monday night, vandals returned to finish ripping out the last of the four goalposts from the ground.

Chairman Dave Maydew said: "We have got to get the goals replaced as soon as possible.

"In the future, it may just have to be a case of putting the goals up on a Saturday, taking them down on the night, putting them up again on a Sunday and doing the same.

"It would be a lot of work but it's something we might need to look at."

The two pitches are used every Saturday and Sunday, but the club will have to stop games for around 300 players until the goalposts can be replaced.
