Operation Trivium is a nationwide offensive against foreign offenders operating or sheltering in the UK.

West Midlands Police has arrested 13 suspects since the operation started on Monday.

The arrests included Polish national Grzegorz Badura who was detained under a European Arrest Warrant executed at a house in Harvills Hawthorn, West Bromwich, at 5.30am yesterday morning.

Badura has been wanted since 2014 after fleeing Poland where he had been released on prison licence part way through a sentence for fraud.

The 36-year-old is set to be extradited back to his home country where he will serve the remaining two years behind bars.

On Tuesday morning a 22-year-old Lithuanian man was arrested in St Annes Road, Wolverhampton, on suspicion of drugs cultivation.

Trivium officers attended the address at 10.15am and found up to 100 cannabis plants ? mature and ready for harvesting ? spread across several rooms.

Oldbury Police have been conducting stop checks on vehicles as part of the operation.

Nationally almost 200 people have been arrested and 206 vehicles seized inside the first 48 hours of Operation Trivium.
