Reece Cherrington, aged 21, of Bradley, in Bilston, appeared at Birmingham Crown Court for a short hearing before a judge this week.

He pleaded guilty to six counts of supplying cannabis between October 8 and November 10 2014.

Cherrington, of Wallace Road, also admitted to a single count of offering to supply cocaine to another on November 11 2014.

Mr Simon Hanns, defending, told the court his client had made the offer he had decided not to go through with the deal.

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report.

Judge Francis Laird QC told Cherrington in court: "It is highly likely you will receive a custodial sentence but the report will help to determine that."

Judge Laird said a date had not been set for when Cherrington would be sentenced but it was likely to be next January.

Also appearing before the court, in a separate hearing, was 27-year-old Kelly Jesson, of Grace Road, Tipton.

She pleaded guilty before the court to one count of conspiring with others unknown to supply crack cocaine.

The court hearing was told the offence had taken place between June 8 and December 3 2014.

Jesson spoke only to confirm her personal details and enter her plea during the short court hearing.

Her case was also adjourned for a pre-sentence report.

A psychiatric report has also been commissioned.

Judge Laird said Jesson would be sentenced in late January 2016.

Police officers appearing at the court said both Cherrington and Jesson had been arrested as part of operation Spring Safer Six, a drugs and crime clampdown carried out by police and Sandwell Council.
