A 59-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after the crash, which happened at around 7.10pm yesterday.

Fire crews from Erdington removed the car from the scene.

West Midlands Police spokeswoman Deb Edmonds said: "The Porsche hit four stationary vehicles on a car park near the Anvil Inn pub.

"The car carried on through a bush and and came to a stop when it collided with a skip lorry."

Today, retired Sutton Coldfield man Peter Warner, aged 59 from Chadwick Road, was charged with drink driving.

He has been bailed to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on 5 June.
