Two more teens held over attack on Watford fan Nic Cruwys

Two more teenagers have been held by police investigating the attack on Watford fan Nic Cruwys, who was badly beaten as he made his way home from a Wolves game.

The development brings to seven the number of teenagers arrested following the March 7 attack, which has left Mr Cruwys, 44, in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

A boy aged 17 was arrested on Thursday at an address in Gailey, Staffordshire and an 18-year old man was arrested the following day at an address in Ashmore Park.

Details of the arrests were made public for the first time this aftenroon. The pair have since been bailed.

Three other 18-year-old men and two teens aged 14 and 13 are also on police bail in connection with the attack. All seven will be spoken to again by detectives in April.

Det Insp Toni Naylor, from Wolverhampton's Violent Crime Team, said: "We have now made a number of arrests but our investigation is still very much ongoing.

"We remain keen to hear from anyone with information about the assault – who we have not yet spoken to – and I would urge them to contact us as soon as possible."
