Boy, 17, charged with murder bid after man stabbed in head in Dudley

A teenager appeared in court today accused of attempted murder after a man aged 65 was stabbed in the head in Dudley.

The youngster, 17, was held on Thursday after the victim was attacked on a doorstep on Owen Street, Kates Hill on Tuesday.

The unemployed teenager – who cannot be named because of his age - is also charged with one count of burglary and appeared at court in Wolverhampton on Saturday morning.

The case was adjourned until Thursday and he was remanded in custody.

The man, who was repeatedly stabbed in the head, shoulder, chest and back, was said to be in a stable condition in hospital today.
